After Mya's first day of school we went to Hutchinson to get our new puppy. He is a toy schnauzer and is about 8 weeks old, born June 23rd. There were three in the litter, all black boys but the other two had white markings. We picked the all black one and are in love with him! The girls don't quite know how to handle him yet but he is warming up to them.
Alfredo says this is my dog that he doesn't like little dogs. I'm sure he will become quite attached. We chose the schnauzer because it doesn't shed and is supposed to be intelligent. It's also good with kids, although they are known to bark. We went with the smaller dog so it can travel with us. We are gone so much that paying for a kennel is a deal breaker for me. As an adult he should be about 8 pounds or less as his parents were 6 lbs and 8 lbs.
He is pretty cute, although its super hard to take pictures of an all black puppy!
