Wildlife Park

I have been trying to post about our weekend for 3 days now but my darn Internet keeps disconnecting for some reason. Its a very frustrating ordeal I must tell ya! Last weekend we were busy, busy, busy. Friday night I went and ate with Miss and Kristi at El Maguey's. I enjoyed my Corona's and some girl talk. The kids all stayed home with dad and it was just us. Our lives have changed so much from when we all use to get together in our high school/college days. It is nice to grow up with good friends and get to experience the joys of motherhood together.

On Saturday we had a neighborhood garage sale. It went over fairly well. Miss had an outstanding crowd as her parents brought a lot of things in from their house too. We ended up with bunk beds for Kaiden downstairs from Joyce and Mike. It was a really good deal that we couldn't pass up. Plus the positives of knowing how it was treated and where it had been. The rest of our stuff that didn't sell will just go to the Good Will.

That evening Miss and Zach had a BBQ with yummy food. It was relaxing to have friends around and just hang out. The kids all played well together and seemed to of had fun. Kane was scared of Miss' dog who, if anyone knows this pup, runs from anyone and everyone. But Kane cried if it were ever in sight!

Sunday, we all headed up the the Tanganyika Wildlife Park. I really enjoyed it, it was a bit hot towards the end of it all but well worth it. I don't really believe Kaiden was super excited and he was kind of a party pooper. He was more interested in playing in the "park" than seeing or feeding the animals. My mom went with us too and enjoyed the excitement of it all. Mya did have a good time and was exhausted when we were done. One perk was Alfredo got in free because it was Fathers Day!! Lucky us! Also, we saved a little money by packing a cooler full of drinks and snacks. I especially like this perk, because a hot dog is $3.00!! Outrageous! You can get a whole package for less than that. ;-)

White Tiger

The antisocial penguins huddled in the shade. You would think with a whole pool filled with water they would be swimming!

The Kangaroo we were able to pet! It was soft and fortunately Mya was nice. Thank goodness we didn't get boxed!

Parrots you could feed

The cutest, fuzziest monkey ever

BIG rhino

Slim Shady...hehe

Kiddo's petting the little goats and donkeys

Soft little bunnies

Mya was trying to feed it lettuce

Feeding the tortoises...

They had a ferocious bite! They would come at you like a pack of wolves.

My mom took both kids on a camel ride. Mya was not too fond of it at first, but after it started going she was smiling and having fun! She even waved at us. Thanks Grandma!!

The giraffe's

We had great family time, and we will have to go back when they add more exhibits. We also got to pet a snake (a tinsy winsy one) and we will have to feed the giraffes when we go back.
