Literally, that is what Mya has. Hand, foot and mouth disease. Hmmm...sounds absolutely terrible doesn't it? Well, apparently it is a typical childhood illness (viral illness) that most kids get. Its a spotty rash more pink than red with a whitish center {very medical description :-)}Supposedly its only on the soles of the feet, palms of the hand and inside the mouth with the occasional buttocks breakout as well. Mya doesn't do anything on a small scale. She has it ALL OVER. Arms, legs, face, ears, really everywhere except her torso. We went to E.R. on Sunday and this is the diagnosis they gave us. No meds, no treatment, simply love and Tylenol and a super small dose of benadryl. It got worse so on Monday we went to our regular doctor. Still, same consensus. It really sucks when you see your little one itching and scratching and covered with polka dots and you can't do anything about it! She has been home from the babysitter for the past 3 days soaking up Daddy's love and attention. She is better though, so off to the sitter tomorrow. She is no longer contagious, as I wouldn't send her if she was. I don't really have any good pictures of her breakout, plus who wants to see that anyways?!?
On the brighter side of things. We had another Walmart trip this evening. Mya did wonderful, thank goodness!! And she got another ring pop at the end of the trip, only this time it was for good behavior :-)

Poor Mya! Gad to hear she is doing better though. It is so hard to see your baby not feeling well.
Darn it, poor little thing! Hope she gets to feeling better soon...and glad it's nothing serious.
