Day 1 of our Family Vacation! {Six Flags over Arlington}

We went on a few select vacations when I was younger. Nothing extraordinary, but it was a lot of fun and memories that I will have forever.  Fredo didn't go on many "vacations" but had his share of fun as a kid.  It is something that we are fortunate enough to experience with our kids now.  They are at that age where they may remember or may not, but they are excited and eager!!

 

 We left around 6:30am, which was way later than Alfredo wanted to.  We drove to Arlington, grabbed some lunch at Humperdinks (despite the name, it was super yummy!) and headed to Six Flags. 

 It was HOTTT!  Of course we expected that in the middle of July.  Thank goodness for all of the water rides and misters they had around.  The girls are at a great age for the park.  If they were any younger, it probably wouldn't have been as much fun.  Mya is able to go on all of the rides in Bugs Bunny's Boomtown by herself and I was able to go with Macy.  She could have ridden some of them by herself but wanted me to go.  Mya was also tall enough to go on almost all of the other rides appropriate for her age. I'm glad Macy needed me... my kids don't "need" me anymore :(.  Mya has no fear and really enjoyed everything.  Luckily there weren't any lines for the kiddie rides, but Alfredo and Kaiden went to the big roller coasters and waited for quite a while.

 The roller coaster Macy wasn't tall enough to go on...Mya loved it!

 The HUGE swinging pirate ship that is at every theme park around.  It made my tummy drop but the kids loved it.  Macy kept wanting to go on it.  Ughhhh :)

 The train ride.  As soon as we got to the park we heard the train.  The entire day all Mya wanted to do was ride the train.  We missed most of the Cowboy show because we had to catch the train.  She loved it though!

Six Flags was an absolute blast!  We all had a great time.  There was a ton of things to do and we never got bored or had to ride something twice because there wasn't anything else.  It was worth the drive and bearing the heat.  The guys had to wait in longer lines, but that's to be expected.  The big water boat ride where you splash into the huge pool of water was great!  It was a fantastic start to our vacation!
